The French term Haute Couture refers to the creation of exclusive garments. Haute Couture is handmade fashion made from high-quality, expensive and unusual fabrics with little or no intervention of sewing machines from start to finish.

Considering the amount of time, money and skills needed to complete each piece, haute couture garments are also known as having no price. Not all haute couture garments are selling-oriented; sometimes, they are designed and created for the runway as an art exhibition.
